Berdakwah Dengan Bahasa Sederhana

alhikmah.ac.id – Sebut saja namanya Ucup, dia adalah seorang mahasiswa semester I di Universitas ternama di kota Bandung. Suatu malam setelah melihat hasil jerih payahnya selama satu semester dengan penuh bangga, dia menelpon ibunya yang ada di kampung guna melaporkan hasil ujian.

Setelah mendaftar paket hemat telpon malam, dia pun menelpon ibunya. Lalu terjadilah tanya jawab mengenai kabar antara sang anak dan sang ibu yang saling merindu satu sama lain. Sang ibu kemudian berinisiatif menanyakan mengenai hasil ujian anak sulungnya tersebut. Si ucup dengan senyum sumringah dan nada suara bangga mengatakan, “Buk, ucup semester ini dapet nilai Tiga Koma Tujuh Lima lho…!”

Dengan ekpresi kaget bak aktris sinetron sang ibu mengatakan, “Apaaaa…..!!! Susah payah ibu sama bapak banting tulang peras keringat siang dan malam biar bisa transferin kamu tiap bulan, kok kamu cuman dapet Tiga koma cup… Dulu waktu SMA kamu bisa dapet Delapan bahkan Sembilan, kok sekarang tiga koma nak…” Tiba-tiba hening pemirsa.

Cerita di atas adalah salah satu fenomena dimana tidak terjadinya komunikasi yang efektif antara sang anak dan ibunya. Sang anak menggunakan bahasa yang tidak dimengerti oleh ibunya yang -mohon maaf- notabene orang kampung untuk menyampaikan hasil perkuliahannya selama satu semester. Sang ibu hanya paham nilai tertinggi itu adalah 10.

Para aktivis dakwah juga berpotensi mengalami hal yang sama seperti sang anak di atas saat berdakwah kepada masyarakat. Mungkin karena ingin tampak alim, menguasai ilmu, faqih dan fasih, kita menggunakan bahasa tingkat tinggi yang membuat masyarakat menganga tanda tak paham dan garuk-garuk kepala tanda tak mengerti. Atau tanpa memikirkan bagaimana kondisi usia, starata pendidikan, obyek dakwah, kita dengan seenaknya melontarkan pernyataan-pernyataan tertentu yang menyebabkan berbagai macam tafsiran dari mereka.

Agar nampak intelek, kita biasanya menggunakan kata-kata hasil serapan bahasa asing, mengganti kata “perubahan” dengan “transformasi”, kata “kemunduran” dengan “degradasi”, kata “ujian” dengan “evaluasi”, kata “pilihan” dengan “opsi”, kata “berlebihan” dengan “over” dan masih banyak lagi. Mirip-mirip kasus Vicky “artis dadakan” yang tenar di televisi beberapa saat yang lalu.

Agar terlihat alim di depan mente yang baru belajar Islam, para mentor ada yang menggunakan kata-kata berbahasa Arab, seperti ana, antum, afwan, syukron, naam dan lain sebagainya. Bisa jadi adik mente  dengan polosnya menjawab saat ditanya, “bagaimana menurut antum?”. “Di sini gak ada yang bernama antum kak!”.

Rasulullah SAW bersabda:  “Aku diperintahkan untuk sederhana dalam berbicara, sebab sederhana dalam berbicara adalah suatu kebaikan.” (HR. Abu Daud dalam bab Al-Adab)

Kita selayaknya mencontoh Rasulullaah SAW yang bahasanya dalam berdakwah mudah dimengerti dan dipahami mulai dari kalangan budak miskin jelata sampai kaisar Romawi dan raja Persia. Bahkan dengan bahasa yang sederhana namun menyentuh bisa menyebabkan jalan hidayah bagi orang lain.

Ummul Mu’minin, Aisyah r.a. berkata, “Sesungguhnya perkataan Rasulullah SAW cukup jelas dan mudah dimengerti oleh setiap pendengarnya”. (H.R. Abu Dawud dalam bab Al-Adab)

Teringat kisah Al-Hafizh Ibnu Hajar Al-Asqalani -penulis kitab Bulughul Maram- yang pernah diceritakan dengan apik oleh Ustadz Salim A. Fillah dalam suatu kajian. Al kisah, Ketika Al-Hafizh Ibnu Hajar Al-Asqalani menjadi Qadhi di Mesir, beliau yang sedang berdinas dengan keretanya pernah dicegat seorang Yahudi penjual minyak dan ter (aspal cair) dalam perjalanan. Si Yahudi berkata: “Nabimu mengatakan bahwa dunia ini penjara bagi orang mukmin dan surga bagi orang kafir, tapi ku lihat dirimu hidup mewah berkecukupan sementara aku begitu nestapa dalam kepapaan. Apa ini tidak terbalik?”

Ibnu Hajar tersenyum bijak mendengarnya, dan beliau pun menjawab: “Dunia adalah penjara bagi orang mukmin seperti kami, karena di akhirat kami mendapatkan kenikmatan agung yang jauh lebih baik dari ini, yang tiada akan putus selamanya. Sementara, dunia ini adalah surga bagi kalian karena di akhirat kalian akan mendapatkan kehinaan, siksa, dan kenestapaan abadi jauh lebih mengerikan daripada yang kau alami saat ini”. Seketika itu juga si Yahudi-pun bersyahadat dan masuk Islam. Ibnu Hajar yang menggunakan pakaian mewah tanpa memperhatikan kotor dan dekilnya si Yahudi, langsung memeluknya dalam dekapan ukhuwah.

Tanpa menggunakan dalil yang berbelit-belit dan penjelasan yang bertele-tele, singkat tapi padat, Ibnu Hajar berhasil menjadi jalan hidayah bagi si Yahudi miskin. Bagaimana dengan kita, yang sering menyampaikan banyak taushiyah namun sayang kering akan hikmah. Sering menyampaikan materi tapi sayang miskin isi.

Selayaknya kita sebagai da’i bisa menguasai diri dengan memilih kata-kata yang mudah dicerna dan dipahami ketika berhadapan dengan masyarakat yang starata pendidikan ataupun usianya berbeda dengan dirinya. Kita sebaiknya menyampaikan sesuai dengan ilmu dan pemahaman yang ada pada dirinya tanpa melebih-lebihkan atau memfasih-fasihkannya.

Dalam berdakwah kita ingin, masyarakat sebagai obyek dakwah kita mendapatkan pencerahan dan hidayah lewat kita, Salah sedikit saja kita dalam menyampaikan, bisa menyebabkan obyek dakwah menjauh dan menjadi antipati terhadap kita.

“Ajaklah manusia ke jalan Tuhanmu dengan hikmah dan nasihat yang baik. Dan debatlah mereka dengan cara yang paling baik. Sungguh Tuhanmu lebih mengetahui siapa yang sesat dari jalan-Nya dan orang-orang yang mendapat petunjuk”. (QS. An-Nahl: 125) Wallaahu a’lam.
