Gaji “Wartawan Media Ghibah” Haram!

alhikmah.ac.id – Sejumlah pakar fikih meminta media dan wartawan berhat-hati memberitakan berita yang bernilai ghibah. Sebab, dampaknya apa yang ia makan dan kelak menjadi daging. Jangan sampai harta dari ghibah akan menghambatnya di akhirat kelak.

Menurut Prof Dr. KH. Ali Mustafa Ya’kub, MA, Imam Masjid Istiqlal, hukum uang (gaji) yang dipakai wartawan dari media yang bermuatan Ghibah sangat dekat dengan haram.
Menurutnya, ada juga yang bernilai positif dan itu tidak termasuk haram. Namun jika beritanya bernilai aib, meski benar, gaji yang dimakan menurut hukum fikih adalah haram.
Jika isi pemberitaan itu memfitnah atau memberitakan aib seseorang, yang orang bersangkutan tidak suka jika itu diberitakan, maka ini haram. Dan, wartawan media yang demikian tentu tidak boleh menerima uang imbalan,” ujarnya.
“Kita lihat isi berita itu sendiri. Kalau isinya haram maka gaji wartawannya pun haram,” ujar guru besar Ilmu Hadis IIQ (Institut Ilmu Alquran) Jakarta ini.
“Tetapi jika ada pemberitaan yang isinya berita haram, sementara yang bersangkutan tidak keberatan, maka hukum media tersebut tetap haram, dan gaji wartawan media tersebut jelas haram,” ujarnya.
Menurutnya, hukum keharaman media yang memfitnah dan mengumpat ini terang terdapat dalam Al-Qur’an, bahwasannya itu haram. QS. Al-Hujarat:12, bunyinya, “Hai orang-orang yang beriman, jauhilah kebanyakan dari prasangka, sesungguhnya sebagian prasangka itu adalah dosa dan janganlah kamu mencari-cari kesalahan orang lain dan janganlah sebagian kamu menggunjing sebagian yang lain. Sukakah salah seorang di antara kamu memakan daging saudaranya yang sudah mati? Maka tentulah kamu merasa jijik kepadanya. Dan bertakwalah kepada Allah. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Penerima Tobat lagi Maha Penyayang.”

Sementara itu pakar Fikih Dr Zain Al-Najah meminta wartawan tak menjadikannya kegiatan ghibah sebagai alternatif mencari rezeki. Karena di dalamnya banyak terdapat hal-hal syubhat yang melampaui ajaran agama.
“Sebaiknya mencari rezeki yang lain yang lebih jelas kehalalannya,” terang pria lulusan Al Azhar, Mesir ini.
Menurutnya, berita ghibah yang kini sering dikejar wartawan pasti hanya akan menimbulkan keresahan di tengah-tengah masyarakat. Hal seperti ini tak lain  dari motif infotainment itu sendiri yang berbasis pada kepentingan materi (bisnis), tanpa mengindahkan norma-norma agama dan kelayakan.
Karena sifatnya bisnis, yang tidak dalam upaya menjalankan perintah agama, maka hal-hal yang dilarang agama, seperti mengumbar aurat, membuka aib orang lain, dan mengorek-ngorek kesalahan orang untuk dikonsumsi publik, menjadi satu hal yang harus dieksploitasi. Padahal hal ini tentu merusak dan sangat dilarang agama.
“Membuka aib orang lain itu haram! Apalagi semua itu dilakukan tanpa ada maksud yang jelas atau tidak ada keuntungannya,” terang Dr. Zain Al-Najah kepada hidayatullah.com.
Zain mengutip hadis yang diriwayatkan Imam Muslim, sebagaimana dalam Kitab Arba’in Nawawi, “Barangsiapa menutup aib seorang muslim, maka Allah akan menutup aibnya di dunia dan akhirat.”

Herannya,  aib orang yang seharusnya ditutupi, kok sekarang malah dibuka-buka. Andaipun kasus itu benar, aib orang tetaplah ghibah.
