Rahasia dan Barakah Dibalik Makan Sahur

alhikmah.ac.id – Hukum sahur hanyalah sunnah. Walaupun sunnah, tetapi sangat besarmanfaatnya. Diantara empat hal penting dalam amalan sahur adalah; Pertama, manfaat sahur menambah tenaga saat berpuasa. Kedua, sahur akan mendapat pahala. Ketiga, sahur menjadi titik pembeda antara puasa penganut agama lain dengan puasa kaum Muslimin karena penganut lain tidak bersahur sebelum berpuasa. Keempat, waktu sahur adalah waktu yang paling mustajab untuk berdoa kepada Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala.
Karenanya, walau sahur sedikit –meski hanya seteguk air– akan membantu dan menguatkan seorang Muslim dalam berpuasa selama sehari.

Ijma’ ulama menetapkan bahwa orang yang hendak berpuasa disunnahkan makan sahur. Namun jika ternyata ia tidak sahur, maka tidak berdosa.

Dan para ulama juga menyepakati bahwa berpuasa dengan makan sahur lebih utama dari berpuasa tanpa makan sahur.
Karena ia merupakan pembeda puasa seorang Muslim dengan puasa ahli kitab.

Rasulullah shallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam bersabda,

فصل ما بين صيامنا وصيام أهل الكتاب أكلة السحور

“Yang membedakan antara puasa kita dengan puasa ahli kitab adalah makan sahur.” (HR Muslim no 2545).

Selain itu, yang lebih penting lagi, bahwa pada makan sahur terdapat kebarakahan.

Rasulullah shallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam berkata;

تَسَحَّرُوا فَإِنَّ فِي السُحُوْرِ بَرَكَةً

“Sahurlah kalian,karena sesungguhnya di dalam sahur itu terdapat keberkahan.” (HR. al-Bukhari, 1923 dan Muslim, 1095).

Hadits Zaid bin Thabit r.a katanya: “Kami pernah bersahur bersama Rasulullah shalallahu ‘alaihi Wassallam. Setelah itu kami pun mendirikan sembahyang Subuh. Kemudian aku bertanya: Berapakah selang waktu di antara keduanya? Baginda menjawab: Kira-kira bacaan lima puluh ayat.”

Barakah dan Keutamaan

Barakah makan sahur adalah karena dapat menguatkan dan menggiatkan orang yang berpuasa. Juga meringankan beban puasa.

Dan ada pula keutamaan lain yang lebih besar bagi yang makan sahur, yaitu Allah ta’aalaa dan para malaikatNya memberikan sholawat kepadanya. Sebagaimana sabda Nabi shallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam,

السَّحُوْرُ أَكْلُهُ بَرَمَةٌ فَلاَ تَدَعُوهُ وَلَوْ أَنْ يَجْرَعَ أَحَدُكُمْ جَرْعَةً مِنْ مَاءٍ فَإِنَّ اللهَ وَمَلاَئِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّوْنَ عَلَى الْمُتَسَحِّرِيْنَ

“Sahur, makannya adalah berkah. Maka, janganlah kalian tinggalkan, walaupun hanya dengan seteguk air. Sesungguhnya, Allah dan Malaikat-Nya ber-shalawat kepada orang-orang yang sahur.” (HR. Ahmad)

Maka dari itu hendaklah seorang Muslim tidak meninggalkan makan sahur, walaupun hanya dengan seteguk air. Allaahu ta’aalaa a’lam bish shawaab.
