Ikhlas Kunci Keselamatan Amal Kita

alhikmah.ac.id – Seornag ulama suatu hari menasihati muridnya yang akan mensedekahkan secuil hartanya untuk masjid. Sang Guru berpesan, “Segera serahkan dirhammu kepada masjid, tapi, agar sedekahmu selamat dari riya’ saya akan umumkan nanti di masjid bahwa si fulan – orang lain – yang beramal bukan kamu. Saya tidak sebut namamu”. Tapi si murid itu memberi usulan lain: “Bagaimana kalau tidak perlu disebut, baik nama saya atau si fulan itu?” “Kalau begitu, simpan saja hartamau, karena kamu tidak ikhlas!” komentar sang Guru (Syeikh Zain Sumaith, al-Manhaj al-Sawiy).

Kisah tersebut menampilkan gambaran, betapa perkara ikhlas itu sangat halus. Menurut imam al-Ghazali, menjaga amal – sesudah kita menunaikannya – itu lebih sulit daripada sebelum kita mengerjakannya. Menjaga amal maksudnya menjaga agar amal tersebut tetap diridhai Allah. Agar terjaga, maka hati kita harus selalu dan tetap ikhlas murni karena Allah. Jika ada tendensi atau motivasi-motivasi lain selain-Nya, maka kita belum benar-benar tulus karena-Nya.

Ikhlas adalah meng-esakan Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala dalam ibadah, ketaatan dan perbuatan baik lainnya tanpa tendensi yang lain, seperti terlihat berbuat-buat oleh orang lain, atau ingin mendapat pujian orang lain. Ikhlas merupakan kunci utama dalam beramal. Imam Yusuf bin al-Husein berkomentar; “Sesuatu yang paling mulya di dunia adalah ikhlas” (Risalah Qusyairiyah).

Oleh karena itu, kedudukan seorang mukhlis cukup mulya di sisi Allah. Menurut Syeikh Makhuul, seseorang yang ikhlas beramal dengan sebenar-benar ikhlas selama empat puluh hari, maka biasanya ia akan diberi anugerah hikmah di hati dan lisannya. Di antara tanda seorang mukhlis (orang yang ikhlas beribadah) diberi hikmah adalah; ketika berbicara selalu yang keluar kata-kata bijak, bernas dan solutif. Perilakunya teduh, kata-katanya sopan bijak, takut dipuji, tidak menonjolkan diri. Saat diminta nasihat selalu kata-katanya bermanfaat, ibadahnya selalu membut semakit takut kepada-Nya, bukan malah menjadi materialistis.

Itulah konsep akhlak dalam Islam, selalu dikaitkan dengan ridha Allah. Jika ada akhlak atau perbuatan yang dianggab bermoral, tapi justru melawan syariat Allah maka itu bukan konsep akhlak yang baik. perilaku baik dalam konsep Islam tidak mungkin dipisah dengan konsep keyakinan dasar kepada Sang Khaliq.

Menurut Syeikh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani, agar seorang muslim berakhlak dengan akhlak terpuji, maka akidahnya harus terbebas dari penyimpangan (Abdul Qadir al-Jilani, al-Ghunyah). Konsep akhlak dalam Islam terbungkus dalam bingkai keyakinan yang benar. Karena akidah, mengontrol aktifitas manusia.

Oleh sebab itulah, maka seorang muslim yang beramal dengan riya’ dimasukkan kategori syirik kecil, sebab ia memasukkan sesuatu yang tidak layak untuk disandingkan dengan Allah SWT. Amalanya mendua, karena manusia juga karena Allah. Dalam Tauhid, seorang muslim tidak diperkenankan menduakan Allah, termasuk dalam tujuan-tujuan ibadah.

Jika kita menduakan-Nya dalam tujuan-tujuan ibadah, maka kita sama saja dengan membunuh amal ibadah kita sendiri. Riya’ dan tidak ikhlas itu mesin pembunuh yang meruntuhkan seluruh pengabdian kita kepada Allah.

 

Agama yang kokoh, tidak tegak kecuali dengan pondasi Ikhlas. Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala berfirman:

وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ حُنَفَاء وَيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَذَلِكَ دِينُ الْقَيِّمَ

“Dan mereka tidaklah diperintahkan selain agar menyembah Allah semata dengan ikhlas hati dan menjalankan agama dengan benar. Mengerjakan shalat dan menunaikan zakat. Itulah agama yang kokoh (tegak).” (QS. Al−Bayyinah: 5).

Kehancuran keberagamaan seseorang itu disebabkan oleh lenyapnya keikhlasan dalam hatinya. Betapa, dalam kisah-kisah para ulama dahulu selalu menggambarkan orang yang riya’ biasanya terperangkap ke dalam kelompok-kelompok yang tidak benar atau tersesat.

Penghancur agama itu sebenarnya bernama riya, pemersatu umat penguat agama itu adalah ikhlas. Demikian kira-kira salah satu kesimpulan dari inti nasihat-nasihat Imam al-Ghazali dan Imam al-Jailani yang tertulis dalam Ihya Ulumuddin dan al-Ghunyah.

Oleh sebab itulah, baik Imam al-Ghazali dan Imam al-Jailaniy berupaya memperbaiki kondisi masyarakat Islam dengan mengobati hatinya. Penyakit yang cukup kronis menurut beliau adalah ketiadaan ikhlas dalam berjuang. Al- Jinaliny bahkan cukup tegas, menurutnya orang yang berjuang hanya karena ingin disebut pejuang sejati, dan orang yang berjuang demi kemulyaan jamaahnya adalah seorang dajjal yang menghancurkan ukhuwah Islamiyah.

Kerusakan hati yang disebabkan oleh ketiadaan ikhlas, berdampak pada tiga hal; menyebabkan retaknya persatuan sesama jama’ah, amalnya sia-sia tidak mendapat balasan sebaliknya mendapat siksa, dan orang lain akan menjauhi model orang yang tidak terpuji ini. Kita bisa menangkap, bahwa ukhuwah Islamiyah terbangun atas pondasi keikhlasan berjuang. Sebaik apapun tingkat intelektualitas kita, jika hati terkotak-kotak dan terbungkus akhlak tercela tak akan terwujud persatuan dan kekuatan itu.
Ikhlas itu lawannya riya’. Riya’ termasuk salah satu dosa yang merusak amalan.
Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala berfirman:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ تُبْطِلُواْ صَدَقَاتِكُم بِالْمَنِّ وَالأذَى كَالَّذِي يُنفِقُ مَالَهُ رِئَاء النَّاسِ وَلاَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ فَمَثَلُهُ كَمَثَلِ صَفْوَانٍ عَلَيْهِ تُرَابٌ فَأَصَابَهُ وَابِلٌ فَتَرَكَهُ صَلْداً لاَّ يَقْدِرُونَ عَلَى شَيْءٍ مِّمَّا كَسَبُواْ وَاللّهُ لاَ يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْكَافِرِينَ

“Hai orang-orang yang beriman, janganlah kamu menghilangkan (pahala) sedekahmu dengan menyebut-nyebutnya dan menyakiti (perasaan si penerima), seperti orang yang menafkahkan hartanya karena riya kepada manusia dan dia tidak beriman kepada Allah dan hari kemudian. Maka perumpamaan orang itu seperti batu licin yang di atasnya ada tanah, kemudian batu itu ditimpa hujan lebat, lalu menjadilah dia bersih (tidak bertanah). Mereka tidak menguasai sesuatupun dari apa yang mereka usahakan; dan Allah tidak memberi petunjuk kepada orang-orang yang kafir.” (QS. Al-Baqarah: 264).

Maka bisa dikatakan bahwa ikhlas adalah salah satu prinsip yang besar dan penting di dalam agama Islam. Karena hilangnya ikhlas menjadi sebab tertolaknya amal ibadah. Jika saat ibadah kita ikhlas, belum tentu setelahnya hati kita tulus karena-Nya. Maka, setelah menunaikan ibadah, jagalah tetap hati, jangan sampai tertipu rayuan-rayuan berupa riya dan bangga diri, sebab hal itu bisa  menghabiskan amal yang susah payah kita laksanakan.
