alhikmah.ac.id – Spesialis radiasi Swedia Martin Roosli mengatakan paparan radiasi dari telpon pintar (smartphone) selama satu tahun sudah cukup untuk memiliki efek buruk pada bagian otak yang bekerja untuk membentuk gambar dan bentuk, kutip The Sun.
Di sisi lain, remaja yang menulis dengan tangan kanan akan lebih terpengaruh oleh radiasi ini daripada remaja yang menggunakan tangan kiri.
Roosli telah mempelajari 700 remaja antara 12 hingga 17 tahun kebiasaan mereka menggunakan ponsel.
Roosli kemudian melakukan pemeriksaan ingatan terhadap mereka.
Studi ini menemukan bahwa ada hubungan antara memori lemah dan paparan radiasi RG-EMF.
Ini juga mengungkapkan bahwa mengirim pesan, bermain video game, dan bahkan menggunakan ponsel untuk menjelajah internet dapat mempengaruhi remaja, terutama mereka yang lebih mahir menggunakan tangan kanan mereka.
“Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa radiasi RF-EMF yang diserap oleh otak dapat berdampak negatif.
“Namun, risiko ke otak dapat dikurangi dengan penggunaan headphone atau speaker selama panggilan, terutama ketika kualitas jaringan lemah dan smartphone bekerja dengan daya baterai penuh.
Saat ini, Roosli masih belum jelas bagaimana radiasi RF-EMF dapat mempengaruhi proses otak atau bagaimana penelitian ini dapat memberi manfaat jangka panjang.
“Sebagai contoh, penelitian ini dapat dipengaruhi oleh remaja yang sedang mengalami perubahan hormonal dan mencapai pubertas karena mereka dapat mempengaruhi bagaimana mereka menggunakan ponsel, perubahan sikap dan perilaku dan perubahan kognitif di otak,” jelasnya.
Dalam survei, peserta yang berpartisipasi diminta untuk mengisi kuesioner yang ditujukan untuk mempelajari tingkat penggunaan smartphone dan media, termasuk kesehatan mental dan fisik mereka.
