Hadits di atas menunjukkan bahwa Rasulullah Shallalahu Alaihi Wasallam memiliki kesempurnaan dalam zuhud, dan penolakan beliau terhadap dunia sekaligus perhiasannya serta berbangga terhadapnya.
Hadits di atas juga menunjukkan halalnya menggunakan bantal dan sejenisnya yang berupa alas serta tidur di atasnya. Akan tetapi para ulama menyatakan bahwa lebih utama bagi siapa saja yang sifat melasnya mendominasi, untuk tidak berlebih-lebihan dalam hal isi bantal atau alas. Karena hal itu menyebabkan banyaknya tidur dan lalai dari menyibukkan diri dari perkara-perkara kebaikan. Demikian penjelasan dari Al Allamah Abdur Ra’uf Al Munawi. (Faidh Al Qadir, 5/181)
